I know this feeling. A month after my first baby was born, I missed my mum so much. hated her, but missed her. After 10 yrs of no contact, I took my newborn daughter round. I dont know what I expected. She looked out the window and didnt even answer the door. This was 12 years ago. A year ago, I googled them. They moved to Spain and have a new happy life with my brother. Made me feel sick after what she did to me. Retriggered me badly.

It’s because shitty people gravitate towards shitty people and this is what happens when you’re a good person! It just is, and it’s wrong. But no more feeling sorry for your father, I think it’s upsetting because you spent ALOT of time feeling bad for him and that was wasted really.

yeah. I am an autism support worker and being autistic is not an excuse. yes they can be highly vulnerable but they DO know right from wrong and a lot of them actually have a really strong moral compass. I hate to say it but your dad knows exactly what he's doing. autistic people can just be bad people like anyone else.
