Yall are getting follow ups?! I was diagnosed 22 years ago and my GI gave me a list of what I couldn’t eat and wished me the best of luck.

for all the people that said they didn't know they needed follow up i completely get it. My old GI knew nothing about it but I found a GI that specializes and turns out we need certain scans and labs yearly due to vitamin deficiencies. Because of the deficiencies even with following a strict diet I still have osteopenia

Last time I had this (10 yrs ago bc I was having stomach issues again) the nurse said “congratulations you don’t have celiac disease to me” on the phone. I was like “I’ve been a celiac for 10 years….” She was like “then you’re managing it super well.”

My doctor LIED TO ME and said she ordered them to go on my yearly labs again, then I went to my appointment, she looked at my sheet, and said I didn’t get my celiac part, so now I have to go back, and schedule another appointment, just for her to tell me that I’m doing just fine 😐
