I think they should be tested unknowingly when they hear “end of term test “ they go into panic mode. LSame thing with my daughter she usually does excellent in her weekly test🥰but simple and silly mistakes in tests🥺

I dont make my daughter feel bad avoyt her grades but i am open to new ideas on how to encourage her to revise her school work tho, because during the school term she does so well and end of term she doesnt. Keep in mind every evening after school she has a routine where she relaxes and eat then sit down and do homework and revise what was done during the day and on weekend we sit with her and revise everything with her. I need some ideas on how to engage her more into her school work.

I never did good in term tests because it was stressful trying to compete with others who were much smarter. But I always did well for big exams like S.E.A and C.X.C for some reason. my dad used to see my term marks and get worried but then see how well I did in going to a good secondary school and then get good subjects and would be surprised. sometimes your kids are stressed and that affects them.
