The way you educated so softly and with such kindness, I can tell you were absolutely gifted this job. Families need this type of support and love.

She’s preparing herself to potentially enter the family business it seems. Smart and brave little girl with an exceptionally patient and educating mom.

I'd they are old enough to ask they are old enough to know with appropriate language. Amazing parenting Mumma and thank you for teaching me something new. My first impression of you and an instant follow 🥰

I think people who work in this industry have so much more awareness of life and death. It takes a special person to have such empathy and compassion.

This is also why morticians and mortuaries stay in one family. Generational skill.

My father is a retired mortician, and this video is so nostalgic...not many will understand that, but the open communication, and at times brutal honesty , he allowed me when it came to his craft allowed me to have the relationship I do with death. And I'm forever grateful for my unconventional education.

75% of funeral homes in the US are privately owned by families. They are very much a multi generational business. Mom explained beautifully, just like it was probably explained to her.

your explanation may seem harsh but, the way you explained it was perfect. It explained it for her and us that have no idea what is going on. Thank you.

Also as a mom that works in the funeral service, I also explain things to my child. He is young so my answers are age appropriate. He asks what caskets are, what urns are, what vaults are, and why do we put flowers around a casket. When he is asked what my job is he says “mama is a helper.” Which for his age at the moment is appropriate for him to know. As he grows the answers will be adjusted for the maturity level

Thank you so much for answering her! My mom’s motto was “if they’re old enough to ask, they’re old enough to know”
