Over the July 4th weekend in Raleigh, North Carolina, around 8,000 teenagers flooded two areas of the city in a single night. Nine people were shot, 29 arrested and 11 firearms recovered. The police chief said in 26 years on the force he had never seen anything like it. Mayor Janet Cowell is now drafting a youth curfew for anyone 17 and under, with a formal proposal going before City Council on August 18th.
