Women can use bottle openings, you just have to hold it right up to your body. Be wary of small containers if you tend to have a high volume. Wind barely matters when squatting outside, but what does matter is pulling your pants down just enough that they don't get hit with the stream - I tend to go for my knees and then use a hand to hold them forward. Take a wide stance, but you're probably still going to get it on the bottom of your shoes as it forms a puddle. Not being able to wipe sucks so always have a pack of tissues with you. Do NOT use leaves or anything like that

in scotland, any permanent food vendors (i.e. cafes, restaurants, and sit-in takeaways) are required to have toilets. i've always just gone to a nearby cafe. if there's nowhere like that nearby, you're probably in a quiet enough area that you can get away with a bush piss

As someone who’s worked In McDonald’s we are told we can’t lock the doors unless we’re about to close and if you come in and go to the bathroom you don’t have to pay or anything

I don't think the wind is much of a factor if you have to squat to pee. Hiking trails don't tend to have bathrooms is why I know 😳
