@iamthatenglishteacher: Are you using commas correctly when you speak directly to someone? In this lesson, I explain commas with direct address, one of the most common punctuation mistakes in everyday writing. * Ms. James, can you teach us? * I can’t talk now, Darrell. * It’s too hot, kids. * Can you help me, please? If you’re speaking to a person, group, or name, that word should usually be set off with a comma. This quick grammar lesson is perfect for students, ESL/ELL learners, homeschool families, adults, and anyone who wants to improve their writing and punctuation. #Grammar #CommaRules #EnglishTeacher LearnEnglish #WritingTips #Usingcommas

Elizabeth Haydon :
I love your lessons. I would place a comma, after the word “talk,” too, to indicate parts of speech, because the word “now,” is a transitional expression.
