You want a UPS that's Topography: 'Line Interactive'. Not 'Standby'. Line Interactive will catch and protect your equipment from voltage dips and spikes. Pure Sine wave is best but approximate/step sine wave is good enough for the price for most consumer electronics. Don't bother with Topography: Standby or Square Wave.

While you may assume chances of your PC getting bricked are low, it's never zero. The power continously kept going out at my house and it eventually fried my power supply.. Luckily i have a garbage box for a PC but PLEASE get a UPS if you have expensive parts 😓

Watts is the power it can deliver. The amount of power stored is in Wh. A UPS that can deliver 1000W could provide that for 5 minutes or 1houe depending on the Wh

Pure sine wave I’m assuming means it follows the AC power before it reaches your power supplies rectifier so nothing breaks

once i was transfering a large amount of data from one disk to another.. an outage happened and this created an issue with some corrupted data that made the system trip every time it tried to boot so i was getting a blue screen.. 7 hours of troubleshooting and trying stuff to fix it without losing anything.. thankfully i was able to fix it thanks to ai🥲 i still havened gotten a ups even tho we have quite enough outages😭

pure sine wave ensures the electric signal is stable so your power supply won't get a massive surge in V or something and your PC maintains stable power and timing
