I'm gen z and it was me: "I want this" mom: "no money for it (lie) me: "okay" end of story cause I was raised with loving parents and never had to throw a fit to get what I wanted just had to wait till there was money (of course it meant a lot of times they would buy anything since I had like 3 totes of toys full at home that I constantly gave toys away to friends but still never managed to get them under 2 totes so. we definitely aren't the same I'm 28 now
