@dubaifactology: Day 4/30: Are you LEGALLY skilled or unskilled in the UAE? 🇦🇪👇 If you watched yesterday’s video (Day 3), you know that being classified as an "unskilled worker" carries severe professional disadvantages. But how do you actually check what the MoHRE thinks you are? Do not rely on your everyday job title alone. You need to verify how your file is structurally registered. The Official UAE 9-Level Skill Classification Breakdown: THE HIGHLY SKILLED TIERS (Attested Degree or Diploma Mandatory)Level 1 (Managers & Executives): CEOs, directors, and department heads. Requires a validated Bachelor’s degree. Level 2 (Professionals): Doctors, engineers, lawyers, and designers. Requires an Attested University Degree. Level 3 (Technicians & Associate Professionals): Technical supervisors and specialized diploma holders. Requires a post-secondary diploma. THE OPERATIONAL "SKILLED" TIERS (No Higher Degree Required)Level 4 (Clerical Support): Secretaries, data entry clerks, and office administrators. Level 5 (Service & Sales Workers): Retail assistants, cashiers, and customer service staff. THE LEGAL TRAP: MoHRE officially groups Levels 4 and 5 under the skilled banner. BUT because these categories are exempt from the degree attestation process, the labor system automatically applies the lesser benefits of an unskilled worker to them. THE UNSKILLED TIERS (No Academic Prerequisites) Levels 6 to 9 include Skilled workers in agriculture, fishing, and livestock, Craftsmen, Machinery operators, plant workers, domestic helpers, etc.. If you have a university degree and work in a professional field, your contract must legally sit at Level 2. To fix this, your company must submit a contract modification request through the MoHRE Services Portal alongside your legally attested certificates!
