Lol, people have not forgotten about it. The media and mainstream politicians try to shove it under the rug. Its essentially remained a litmus test for liberal/left wing governments to gain grassroots support. Andy Burnham would see a groundswell of progressive support were he to take a harder stance against Israel.

I hope that Netanyahu loses, but my sense either way is that Israel is going to lose broad support in the United States. The wind has changed entirely. The good will it has enjoyed has been lost, largely dissipated particularly when people who criticize Israel are called antisemitic. No person with a heart can tolerate Israel’s behavior.
