@drdavidmorris: Can damaged nerves actually heal? Many people with peripheral neuropathy are told that nerve damage is permanent, but the answer isn't always that simple. Peripheral nerves have a greater ability to repair than the brain or spinal cord, although recovery can depend on the type of nerve injury, how long it has been present, and whether the body has the conditions needed to support healing. Not every case follows the same path, which is why understanding the cause and extent of nerve damage is an important part of creating an individualized treatment plan. 💬If you've been diagnosed with neuropathy, what question do you wish had been answered sooner? #Neuropathy #PeripheralNeuropathy #NerveHealing #NerveHealth #NervePain #FunctionalMedicine #HealthTok #ChronicPain #murfreesboro #functionalmedicine #magnoliamedicalcenter #rootcause #fyp #viral

How do you determine which type of damage I have? How would you diagnose the type of damage. Difficult to treat a problem without knowing what the damage is

I need to see doctors more like you. Most of my specialists don’t explain anything, prescribe new meds that make me feel terrible, tell me my pain is solely or mostly from my cPTSD but never talk to me about the actual damage from multiple cancers & treatments, genetic disorders and autoimmune diseases (that have been diagnosed through bloodwork, biopsies, etc) could be involved with my condition. I’m not looking for miracles, just real, honest information. Thank you for discussing things openly.

Finally, the truth what can be done with a lot of effort can be reversed to what degree determined by different factors the doctors over the year says there’s no Cure it can’t be cured that’s incorrect that lead to people get on drugs gabapentin Lyrica, etc. and it only delayed cause the situation to become worth when in reality if you caught it early with the proper treatment could’ve had really good success the longer it’s put off with drugs mask the pain is the worst becomes harder to get good results trying to reverse neuropathy and if untreated long enough it can be permanent.
