It's really interesting how you can think of yourself as two different people when you are bilingual. The French "me" is a lot more straightforward (because it's my second language and so I have to be more direct - I don't have all the vocab I need to not be!) and like I feel more confident and direct in French? I dunno. Not exactly what you were saying but similar.
