Girl please. I grew up right outside of Philly, and my mom literally had to run home anytime there was a Klan rally. I’ve traveled to Virginia and Boston, both racist. I lived in Texas for 12 years of my adult life, racist. Didn’t matter if they are outwardly dangerous or secretly racist. You have to move as if all of them are dangerous. Now I live in Denver, a 'progressive' city, but I can meet the most progressive 'white ally' and I still wouldn’t trust them. Shit I’ve seen white people tell black people not to trust white people. Giving white people the benefit of the doubt is what gets us killed. We’ve been doing that since they brought us here, and look where it has gotten us. We keep saying 'not all cops, not all men, not all white people,' and it just continues to get us killed.

I appreciate your follow up videos. I think that there may be more of a history of racial animus in the South for sure. I get that. I’ll just contend that your larger point on consciousness as a Black person is universally applicable, regardless of where you live. NJ is quite racist, particularly in South Jersey just outside of Philly. But I get your point.
