We had dust get in the wiring harness where the starter wire plugs up took it apart cleaned sprayed it and plugged it back up worked fine afterwards

100% a bad or loose ground connection. Chased a lot of the same issues on trucks. Always a ground issue.Good Luck

check for corrosion on the cab wall connectors on the rh side. also check the two connectors on the engine harness above the engine and below the ecu
