My dad served in the military for 21 years. My dad was VERY patriotic. Because he gave a chunk of his life to defend his country. I will forever defend the flag. To me it represents the people who died for our country and freedoms.

I think certain people in the US confuse it with a symbol of the government instead of a symbol of the people and hope and sacrifice. As a US veteran, I will always fly the flag.

It never was until the last few years unfortunately. It really makes me sad because we were always a very patriotic country and now being patriotic is looked at as being only Republicans and conservatives. We should all be patriotic whether we like the president or not.

Unfortunately people out there thrive in misery, guilt and suffering first. Their focus is on the bad and what is wrong.Then dwell on it. Versus seeking out what's good and turning their energy towards solutions.

I fly a flag off my front porch. I feel very loyal and proud of our country. I dont sit and think about the bad parts of our history. im very proud to live here, of our military, of all we have accomplished.

as a more progressive person, I do feel some resentment when I see americans fly the flag because the republican party has really hijacked patriotism and made it partisan, and I know that me feeling negative is me playing their game and that is something I shouldn't do. that being said, I always appreciate when foreigners move here and fly the flag because I know it's in good faith and not a virtue signal. I also think Fifa helped remind many Americans why patriotism can be for all of us and that makes me happy.

Because liberals push for mass migration and open borders. You never have assimilation, with mass migration. I feel like that is why the governments are literally saying that it is racist to fly your own flag. They are trying to erase your identity. The ironic part is than when a group of the immigrants protest, they will wave around their own country’s flag, and somehow to liberals that is empowering. We saw that in the U.S., with groups of people marching while carrying Mexican flags.

It's not offensive. Its a clue. People can fly the flag. Here in Mississippi, I have seen the Confederate flag and the US flag FLOWN TOGETHER. That is why those get associated with White Supremacy. Right wingers ruin EVERYTHING including pieces of cloth.

I feel like what has happened lately at least here in the states, there's a certain group of people that pretty much took the flag and used it as their own branding and that if you're using this flag, even though it's supposed to be the flag for everybody, you are automatically associate with this group even if you oppose everything they say or do. it's going to be hard for others to reclaim the symbol, similar with other flags used in the American Revolution

It’s so amazing to me that as a former British citizen who has come to America and understands we should be proud to fly our flag. Some of the very woke and liberals for some odd reason despise our beautiful flag. I find it very offensive when I see our flag disrespected, and I think about all of our men and women who have given us the freedom to fly that flag. It is absolutely disgusting to see some punk burn stomp on and destroying the flag.

Can’t rationalize with irrational thinking 🙃 it’s a privilege and honor to be an American citizen. I fly our flag every day to pay homage to that as well as to the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our country. Unfortunately, some people assume that means you back one particular party or are a white racists. The flag is not bipartisan, but somehow everything is offensive these days.
