did the inspector look at wiring? old houses tend to have old wiring. we looked at several that were only half updated! which makes no sense but I'd definitely double check on the wiring!

when you get to the home insurance phase PLEASE I AM BEGINNING YOU to make sure you have the "law and ordinance" clause in your policy. It covers any code violations that have to be fixed during insurance repairs. I did NOT have this with my first home and when it was being repaired from a flood I had to pay $20k out of pocket to fix all the out of code electrical they found during the repairs. good luck with your home! it looks beautiful!!

I was always told the VA loans would only go to certain homes of a certain age, anything older and they won’t approve it, have the rules changed? My husband and I are dual veterans and are seriously considering buying a home in the near future
