@readtheirmind: Pretending you didn’t notice something that could embarrass someone is another level of empathy. And not enough people talk about it. Because empathy isn’t always about saying the right thing. Sometimes it’s about knowing when not to say anything at all. You noticed their mistake. You saw the awkward moment. You heard their voice break. You saw something they hoped nobody else would see. And you had the opportunity to point it out. To laugh. To make a comment. To prove that you noticed. But instead, you protected their dignity. You looked away. Changed the subject. Acted as if nothing happened. Not because you were unaware. But because you understood the damage your reaction could cause. That’s emotional intelligence. Not every truth needs to be announced. Not every mistake needs an audience. And not every embarrassing moment needs to become a story you tell later. Sometimes the greatest kindness you can offer another person is allowing them to keep their dignity. Because empathy isn’t always about making someone feel better. Sometimes it’s simply refusing to make them feel worse. #Empathy #EmotionalIntelligence #Kindness #realtalk #LifeLessons
