I think I don't want to live for myself. Not that I don't want happiness, but I'm happiest living for Christ. He wants me to take care of myself and he wants me to be happy all he wants for me is the best for me. It's a lot like living for yourself but a slight shift in our view about why we are doing it. I hope everyone is doing well and becoming the person Christ wants you to be.

I still can't put myself first. As long as I have what I need, im fine, but I constantly worry about my kids, my family...friends...I sometimes take 30 minutes to sit down with a guitar and just play...and I still have that gnawing feeling that I should be doing something more constructive, so instead of enjoying that time, im riddled with guilt for spending it on ME...I have trouble letting myself be idle, particularly when someone i care about is struggling...Seems you're making progress, it's good to see. A happy You, will make a happier home for all of you, maybe you've made an impression on me today!! We'll see...😁

Yes it took many years to realize this and learn to say No. Not concerned with others expectations until my own are met. Makes for a peaceful healthy existence. 🙏🙏❤️❤️

We do things in our lives they keep us happy like walking working out reading and whatever it takes to make us happy but it’s meant for us to pass that along. Also, what you do.

I know exactly what you mean. I'm on call 7 days a week on top of my 40 hours a week. my captain is starting to think he owns me. I'm waiting for the main boss to get into work and see if I can get on another tugboat. I've been relapsing in drinking in depression on facing this guy every morning. it sucks cause this captain knows what he's doing to me.
