@travellingwithdora: Zadar is known to have the most famous and most beautiful sunset spot in Croatia, not just for the view of the sea but due to the most famous attraction in Zadar, the Sea Organ. These steps where you can sit on have tubes hidden underneath that generate chords from the air pushed from the waves and tides - it is literally music played by the ocean waves. It was built by Croatian architect Nikola Basic in hopes of revitalising the Zadar waterfront which was left lifeless after World War 2. These days the steps are buzzing with hundreds of people during sunset and it feels like the whole town has come to this one spot. To be honest it was not the most magical sunset I’ve seen as I have seen many suns set over the ocean and the music played was a bit disharmonious but the concept is really beautiful and it was really atmospheric knowing everyone in the crowd was there to admire the sunset and listen to the sea organ in Zadar. #zadar #croatiatravel #seaorgan #sunset #eurosummer

Interesting trivia, when visiting in 1964, Alfred Hitchcock said sunset in Zadar is best in the world, even better then sunset on Key West on Florida and it deserves applause every day.
