Londiniem :
Last text I sent to my mother a couple years now: I do appreciate you reaching out and giving the value of a response.
This isn’t about me as a man now, just to clarify, I am speaking on behalf of a boy who needs to speak about his hurt to his mother. If it was up to me, I am content moving on and never speaking again. However, I owe it to that little boy to give him a chance to speak about his hurt and giving you the opportunity to help hear out that version. While therapy may be a good idea, what you need is not what he or I need. I have been to therapy due to everything, I don’t need to return, I am healed, I have moved on, and out of all the respect and love I have for you, I don’t need you in my life. Despite what you think, I do not hate you, I do not resent you, and what you think of me is no longer my concern. You are my mother and I have space to want you in my life because that part still believes you love him enough to just hear him and his story. If you are unable because of your own pain and you don’t have enough space to do that for him without a mediator, I understand and this will be where the conversations lies and the past will rest. Thank you for acknowledging my request and I wish you all the best.
