The suboccipitals are small muscles in the back of the neck just below the base of your skull. The most gnarly pain condition that I see people experience with this is occipital neuralgia. This area of the head can hurt when your eyes look in a certain direction... wild! Massaging these muscles can temporarily relieve that pain. To keep it from coming back, you've got to strengthen and/or adjust your lifestyle. #neckpain #headache
