My kids are adults now but I was a single mom their whole lives and I would take my taxes and put it aside for school clothes, birthday parties, Christmas, and fun vacations. To me it was money I didn’t have to begin with so not touching it for bills didn’t kill me. Also, I invested into camping gear and we did a lot of camping. They loved it. We were poor as hell but they never knew it. You’d be surprised how much kids love camping. They get to play in dirt and water all day. And all you have to worry about is food once you purchase the essentials.

I was a single mom of 5 and I would take them to lakes and pack lunches. when we couldn't go on vacation I would rent a hotel with a nice pool so they could have fun. Saving and budgeting to go on vacation.

Depends on the income and state. We’re in Texas husband makes 1650 a week untaxed and we make a Cancun trip once a year in summer and a visit his family trip to Mexico around feb-March. We make it work we have two car notes (not proud), our rent is 1600 with utilities and we go out to eat every weekend. We prioritize food over anything and eat good. Extra cash goes to saving and traveling

Just try to budget 50$ a month if possible for a year then pack food take that ride to the beach and find a nice cheap Airbnb or hotel do it throughout the year so when summer hits you don’t have to worry about money
