@ladys.fingers.heal: When I finally went back to the eye doctor after years, I knew there would be hard conversations. I just didn’t know how many. The doctor found edema (swelling) in my eye and fluid under my left cornea. Right now, my corneas are too thick for the treatment he originally wanted to do, so my next step is seeing a cornea specialist—a specialist I didn’t even know existed. The hope is that they can address the cataracts on the natural lenses in my eyes. After that, the plan is for my glaucoma specialist to place a third drainage tube in my right eye to help lower my eye pressure and protect the little vision I still have. Every appointment gives us another piece of the puzzle. I’m choosing to focus on what can still be done instead of only what has been lost. Nice to meet you and thank you for your story. I started losing my vision five years ago from glaucoma. everything you’re experiencing I’m experiencing the same thing but in my right eye.they don’t want to do anything with it because it snowed vision in it. I recently started having swelling in my right eye and my doctor recommended me to see a retina specialist but my retina is OK. i’m going to see a cornea specialist to see what they say I never been to one before.

I suffer with glaucoma as well. I lost the site in my left eye my right eyes not that great but it’s holding on and I try to maintain the pressure but see if you can go to a good glaucoma specialist and let them be the lead doctor if you can have a good day and may God bless you

Hey FRIEND), thanks for sharing your journey. I so appreciate it. Also just learn something I wasn’t aware. There was a corneal specialist as well. I have been sent an ophthalmologist in a retinal specialist and I just recently underwent cataract surgery two days ago as my lens was so thick and dense which caused my vision so I do have a lot of swelling on my arm edema and cornea and all of those things so we’re just waiting for that to go down to see what if I have regained any sort of vision
