India is about 1.9 times the size of Alaska. Alaska would cover only a little over half of India’s area, even though its outline can span a huge east-to-west distance when the Aleutians are included. So the video may be showing a correctly scaled outline, but the visual encourages the wrong conclusion. Alaska is extremely wide and irregular. India is much more compact and has far more land inside its outline.
