I love your point that we don’t need to attach sentimental value to everything. Sure my daughter wore that shirt when she was 3, but that doesn’t need to make it special.

Instead of donating to big charities, I put the items out at my curb after I’ve cleaned them up and put a free sign. I would rather help a struggling family, then force them to re-buy my used item after being marked up 200% at Goodwill.

When trying to purge stuff, I ask my, "if it had poop on it, would I clean it or throw it away?" if I wouldnt clean it, I get rid of it.

im clearing out one room at a time. I have actually empty drawers now! I cleared my grans house, my mums my mother in laws and my cousins and helped with a close friends house this year. it is sad but it is just things. ive kept one or two things from each though!
