When you start do not use pull ups bcos they are just a nappy and so many people make that mistake! Put them in knickers/ pants from the start so they can feel it when they have an accident. We did this and he had one big accident initially then understood what it felt like so started saying he needed a wee. Also try and encourage sitting on the potty every 15mins to begin with. We had our LB potty trained in 3 days with only 2 big wee accidents. Hope this helps😊

The biggest thing I would say as a nursery practitioner is if they can’t tell you when they need to go to the toilet then they aren’t ready!! they need to be able to communicate those movements with you. Feel free to message me 💗💗

I found that having some form of toilet whether that be a potty or normal toilet on the same level at all times helped my little one loads. I also found that when I put him in pants every 20ish minutes I would just ask 'should we go to the toilet?' for a while I had to act like I was the one that needed the toilet then he wanted to copy mummy so that's a huge help x

We always kept a potty in the front room. I’d put lani on it when she watched tv or whatever. Even if she didn’t need to go. She would eventually just start sitting on it herself. When she used it, massive praise and well done, when nothing was done then ‘oh well never mind, we will try again, well done for trying’. I would sit on the floor with her too. we then went to pull ups at night and knickers in the day. The wetting stopped and then we took the leap at night (waking her in the night to sit on the toilet) and she was dry at night within a few weeks. You’ve got this! Xx
