Nope! It’s against ethics. If someone wants to leave a review, they can — but it’s against our ethical code to ask for reviews.

solicitation of reviews is usually an issue.... they can do reviews on their own though. so it's not about the actual review... it's the power dynamics in asking for it. lots of legal ethics trainings highly discourage it

I’ve worked in addiction treatment for many years. One of the programs actually took the client out of group to complete the review….not even joking. The next PHP I worked in would pressure clients for a positive review and if it was not positive, it would be removed. I’m betting they are still doing that. Plus being such an unregulated industry, my boss drove up in a new Ferrari within the first week of being open. And, one of my ex-clients sent me a bill he received for $1.2 M. Not even kidding.

They should make a “rate my professor” that someone can write an anonymous review. The practice only sees they got a review and confirms they person went there and then the review posts with no information. They have to make it so they batch post maybe so the provider can’t figure it out. But idk. Some way we can see reviews. But you also don’t have to give your name publicly.

In my residential program, we were encouraged to give me the QR code to leave a review. I honestly would forget to tell them to do it upon discharge. I wouldn’t want my clients to disclose this experience to the masses. There are parts of the business, I do not take part in.

unfortunately for accreditation we have to provide clients a survey to leave a review. they don't really care about the ethics of the situation. lol

I give no medical reviews. although I do look at them lol. but I'm over it I give no opinions of my own unless you're paying for my time. if I needed mental health absolutely not.

no one should ever ask that, regardless of what your job is, imo. if I want to leave one, I’ll do it because I want to, not because you asked. actually, if you ask me to, I won’t, even if I was going to before you asked.
