I wish Taylor would make it known she does not want the Trump team to use her music. Her management team has probably at least considered it. When artists try to get the Trump campaign to stop using their music, it’s often not as straightforward as people assume. Public objections alone don’t necessarily stop the songs from being played, and in some cases the campaign has continued using them or even appeared to lean into the controversy. The same pattern has extended beyond music, with the campaign using Eras Tour related imagery and making highly publicized references to Taylor Swift, such as Trump’s false claim that he has more TikTok followers than she does. Part of the reason is that the campaign has often argued it is legally permitted to play songs at rallies because the venues or campaign hold blanket public performance licenses through performing rights organizations such as ASCAP or BMI. Those licenses can allow the public performance of many songs without obtaining direct permission from the artist. That doesn’t mean artists have no recourse. Some have successfully stopped the use of their music through legal action, licensing restrictions, or by having political-use rights withdrawn through the relevant performing rights organization. But the process is often more complicated—and slower—than many people realize.

I'm trying to figure out when Taylor became a politician? She isn't allowing anything to happen because it's not her responsibility. Apply that energy to our elected politicians. She does donate to programs that our government has cut like cancer research, Food banks, Education.
