I love my boox and kobo!!! I will say the boox requires more trial and error simply because it has so many individual settings you can set however it does require some sacrifice. So if you want more vivid pages it will create more ghosting on pages BUT that’s not always a deal breaker for people. There’s so many little settings it can be overwhelming and sometimes why my kobo is great cuz it feels more straight forward!! Love your test between the two and that you have them both 💕💕💕

So, I accidentally discovered that you can change the brightness on the Boox the way you do it on Kobo, it’s just on the right side of the device! But I agree that graphics took some getting used to, because the apps are built for phones and tablets, not optimized for eink displays. So even dark mode doesn’t look great because there’s not enough contrast.

Btw if it makes you feel any better some shein shops do carry a few 100% cotton (a little more ethical) clothing these days. You gotta look for them but it there 😅
