Hi! Licensed cosmo with science degree here! So when you properly use heat on your hair (heat protectant, not washing for a few days etc) it’s basically a protective style 😇 this is because when you use heat, your sealing the cuticles which creates less room for breakage to occur. So good news for you, you have been properly heat treating your hair!

you are lucky Masha allah. if i flat iron or even blow dry too often, the hair doesn't curl back and I know girls with way softer curly hair and their curls always come back and they can straighten as often as they want. so all of you girls are lucky with strong hair.

i keep the aphogee 2 step protein in my regimen as im high porosity. theres a happy medium between the 2 and ive been damaging mine alot recently too. at best ill takd those smallest flexi rods to force a curl of the top. no problem.
