Here’s my two cents. We’re immigrants trying to find our feet in a society and system that are completely different from what we’ve always known. Many of us came here believing the grass would be greener, but the reality is often much more complicated. While we’re trying to adapt, there’s also this constant pressure to justify everything we sacrificed to get here. The money, the time away from family, the expectations back home, they all sit quietly on your shoulders every single day. That kind of pressure changes people. It can make you impatient or emotionally unavailable. Before long, those frustrations begin to show up in your relationships. Sometimes it isn’t that the love has disappeared; it’s that you’re carrying so much that you no longer have the capacity to show up as the person you want to be. I also think it’s important to remember where many of us are coming from. Back home, money felt like the answer to almost everything. Once you had enough of it, a large part of life’s struggles became easier to manage. Here, money still matters, but it isn’t the only thing that determines whether life feels fulfilling. You can have a decent income and still struggle with loneliness, the pace of life, or the feeling that you don’t quite belong.

I came to a conclusion 2 days ago, as immigrants in foreign countries, we just need to take things easy. We aim too high and expectation of people back home is too high. We should just calm down and do what we can, we can’t have it all in short term. Let’s be content and happy with whatever we are able to achieve, don’t overate yourself or be too hard on yourself. I no fit kpai myself with life’s goals. Slow and steady win the race.

You can be “happy” or have peace if you pray and believe God is with you in the storm. The storm will come but it gives joy to know God is there with you. Secondly, realizing that your life is in his hands and he is your provider. Once you commit everything to him, he makes a way. Don’t allow the enemy to triumph in your trials ..
