I’m going to share some things I wish people told me when I started riding the metro. Be careful on the green and yellow line when you’re directly in dc; not saying something will happen every time you take those lines but they’re a little more prone to some bullshit happening. I would also recommend always wearing sunglasses when you’re on the metro or in the station because I swear people will stare into your eyes if you don’t. Last thing, make sure you look at the maps of where you plan to go before you even get on the first metro of the day because getting lost is so easy everywhere you go in dc🥲

Girl I’m a lawyer, moved to DC from Florida for a job last year (still here, loving it and thriving) but point is people tried to say u don’t need a car. Liessss! Love the metro but I drive a lot still cause walking in the rain will ruin my week and I love wearing heels when prancing through the city on weekends.
