I commented on her post too! There are some “natural” products that also use walnut in their mascara & eyeliner! I found that out the hard way! My eyes swelled shut from them. I forget the brand, but they were “all natural” and I had to really dig to find the ingredients. This was 5 years ago now and I wish I could remember the brand.

I have celiacs and I make sure all of my makeup/skincare/hair products are gluten free because of potential cross contamination and getting ingested. I don’t want to touch my hair or face absentmindedly and then grab a snack and ingest the gluten. It’s my personal preference but if my salon and MU doesn’t know I won’t use them.

I can eat coconut. I can't use coconut oil skin care products, topical reaction vs ingested allergy is different. So many body washes, lotions, hair care products ect. have coconut oil, it's a great product for moisture. It leaves my options pretty limited 😕

Celiac here I have had severe rash reactions to things topical. I had a bad reaction to a shampoo that had gluten in it.

I have celiac disease. Any time I use products topically that contain wheat/gluten I get a rash and/or acne. It may be a separate allergy but it seems related.

I have celiac and I use gluten-free everything. Lotion, shampoo, conditioner, makeup sunscreen. Everything. I’m extremely sensitive and if I touch it and then forget to wash my hands before I pick up something to eat or touch my mouth, it doesn’t go well

I have a friend with Celiac's and a co-occurring dermititis that is activated by wheat so they can't touch some disposable utensils or makeup without hives and rashes

I have to ask hair stylists to check their products and not use anything with wheat protein because it make my scalp and skin break out and itch like crazy. I do the same with skincare and makeup products
