As a previous car salesman, it’s one of two things. They’re brand new at doing this and genuinely learning the ropes, or their management keeps making them go back to get a better deal for them- which means you pay more. Before we even settle on a price we have to get it approved by our boss 💀

It’s actually proven that long hours can make you more stressed and anxious resulting in a situation like this where you’re more prone to agree to things that you don’t need or less likely to resist because you want to leave. Do you car shopping from home, test drive, do everything from email, get pre approved through credit union, sign papers, drive off 😒

The longer it takes the more you wear down the more likely you’re to just accept BS deals and get it done & over with so that you don’t have to start from scratch elsewhere.. it’s a tactic. Most ppl don’t get up and leave. If they did, they’d move faster.
