Hi Sarah, I am irish and my job is going into people's houses predominantly the older generation and helping them with personal care needs and I see on a daily basis how the families looking after loved ones with Altzeimers/Dementia are affected as it's literally 24 hours a day 7 days a week and I see the families that avail of respite care every 6 weeks really benefit from the service as they are totally and utterly drained both physically and emotionally and in dire need of a well deserved break so please enjoy your time and come back fully rested

The day I brought my mom to a facility I cried literally the entire drive home, cried myself to sleep, hurried back the next morning and she had no idea I had ever left. 🤦‍♀️

This feels so crazy. We have my grandma and have had her for 5 years and she just went into care. Possibly short term possibly long term, first week was awful but we visited today and she is so happy and thriving right now
