@digitalteachermama: I spent 17 years as a teacher in a classroom thinking exhaustion was just part of being an adult. I ignored the Sunday scaries. I ignored the migraines. I ignored the feeling that I was giving everyone else the best of me and bringing home what was left. Then one day, what used to feel “secure” started feeling heavy. Leaving teaching wasn’t easy. It wasn’t impulsive. It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. But looking back, I don’t think God was punishing me with discomfort. I think He was showing me I had outgrown the life I was settling for. Sometimes the greatest gift isn’t comfort. Sometimes it’s the courage to move when comfort no longer fits.#iquitteaching
