We went $20k over. $4k was an upgrade in our ceiling material, but the rest was the cost went up on the materials from the time we got the quote vs build time.

Weve built every house weve lived in and managed to stay in budget. We’re about to build our last house and we’re still within budget. Upgrades can bury your budget for sure!
