@idigcarrots: I was not expecting to love this as much as I do. I’ve been trying to find fun ways to use up all the basil in my garden, and this basil cream cheese might be my favorite one yet. It’s packed with fresh basil, takes just a few minutes to make, and was incredible on a bagel with fresh garden tomatoes and flaky salt. I’ve also been dipping cucumber slices in it straight from the fridge…it’s that good. One thing to know: because fresh basil contains so much water, the cream cheese ends up a little softer than regular cream cheese. Let it chill for at least 4 hours (overnight is even better), and don’t be surprised if things get a little messy. It’s worth it. 🌿 Basil Cream Cheese • 8 oz cream cheese • 2 packed cups fresh basil • 1/4 tsp salt Blend in a food processor, scraping down the sides as needed, until completely smooth and the basil is fully incorporated. Chill for at least 4 hours before serving. What would you do with all this basil? #basil #gardeninghacks #gardentok #creamcheese #gardenharvest
she gonna do anything to just not make pesto from basil. she gonna make basil muffins, basil peanut butter, basil pudding, basil vinegar. she desperate to avoid pesto
