In Kentucky it is a STATE LAW that your insurance company has to pay for ANY window in your vehicle to be replaced because it's a safety hazard. They are not allowed to hokd it against you or raise your premium.

In Arizona, it is the law that they cover two windshields a year. And you need no explanation and no deductible.

In KY, if you have comprehensive insurance (full coverage not liability) your auto glass repair or replacement is typically fully covered with a $0 deductible. State law dictates that insurers must waive deductibles for covered safety glass claims. If you have to replace your windshield more than once within a year the second or third replacement is on you.

In KY windshield replacement is covered under comp and the deductible is waived. It’s for safety purposes
