I would say Electric cars are not a ‘sustainable’ option tho -they’re are just less unsustainable then fuel cars. consumer marketing makes ppl feel like buying a NEW electric car is really helping reduce damage when that car has had its parts shipped across the world , using a supply chain that’s still reliant on fossil fuels and is entangled in exploitation of land and people like those in Congo🇨🇩. That’s why I believe it can’t just be reduced to consumer choice ,yes we can to an extent influence companies but ultimately our entire economic model is unsustainable and instentivises greenwashing over actual eco friendly products and systems . Ultimately Yes individual choices are important but it’s nothing without campaigning for wider social and political change !💖

never really hated on vegans tho i def will say in my own experience their pr is really bad but i completely understand why they feel the way they do i still eat meat but honestly could see myself transitioning away one day possibly or at the very least i wouldnt be suprised

Yeah, it becomes clear that people don’t care about issues they just want to signal socially that they are liberal. We want it to go mainstream, so we need to transcend that anyway.
