I literally signed up for the BEI advanced knowing I’d fail it, but that was the only way I’d see what the test looked like and know how to study to take it again. Calling it a donation to the BEI office, you’re welcome yall! (I did fail it but I’m taking a workshop to get better for the next time haha)

This video is everything. I took the EIPA in 2022 and got a 3.3. Took it last November and got a 3.7. I DONT EVEN WANT TO INTERPRET IN A K-12 SETTING BUT IT WOULD BE SOMETHING 😭 I so agree with your point of matching your style to ‘their’ register. It’s NOT everyday work and it’s SO expensive!

Girl I feel called out lol. Only nervous part is just the fact for me take the BEI I gotta travel to another state so it’s a matter of wanting to make sure I’m ready before I try. And that TEP scares me!

100%! I’ve taken the NIC FIVE times!! I have terrible test anxiety and 2D was nearly impossible for me. Now I work in VRS and my skills are exponentially better!! I will take it again, and one day I will pass!

SO true. I teach elementary school and I have told my students that I KNOW they KNOW how to do it, but we have to do it the way the tests look for it it sucks because it discounts actual knowledge and experience.
