There are buildings on the strand that are survivors of the 1900 storm. They all have little plaques inside commemorating the buildings and their history

My daughter is getting married at 1880 Garten Verein in Kempner Park and although I’ve lived in the area my whole life I never knew it existed until we were looking for wedding venues. It is absolutely beautiful.
