Even if she wasn’t arguing for his life, which she obviously would because he’s her kid regardless of her mothering skills, it’s still a sound suggestion to help Rhaenyra fully claim the throne. If aegon is declared dead there’s no further question. The two options for the throne have become one, Rhaenyra ‘wins’. And if aegon did come back, which we know he won’t want to but she doesn’t know that, like alicent said he’d be assumed an imposter. I understand it’s more than the throne she’s arguing for, she’s lost 2 kids and other than helaena nobody else has lost a child but come on. Yes I understand grief is odd and takes many shapes but like get this one thing, the war over a spiky chair, over and begin ti work through said grief in whatever way you can
