When these came out I was considering buying them because I do stuff where it would be nice to film for reference later. Taking things apart and also living in a city where I take walks. But then I started seeing all the videos of creeps who issued them and then fixed them to not show the light when filming. That was weird to me. Like why are you hiding the fact you’re filming? I’m also a rayban sunglass owner so it made sense to get them, but now I feel self conscious wearing these Raybans for fear of being mistaken for the meta glasses. I see people when I’m doing business in a store look at my glasses like they’re trying to figure out if I’m filming them and feel self conscious. It sucks because I love Raybans but the meta have made it so I don’t think I’ll purchase another pair again

I mean they could be used for ethical purposes… like filming yourself skiing or cooking. also the non consensual video taping started long before meta glasses. I’m just trying to say the behaviour is the issue and not the tool

I’d buy them- just to have video proof of guys harassing me and to take on my hikes. Also I hear the music is a good feature- headphones in ear or over ear kill my ears 🤷‍♀️
