Mike shouldn't be here. Regardless of which side of the ship war you're on. Will actively props up Mike and El's relationship in season 4 and even s5 (as many flaws as it has) shows he would never force Mike to have feelings or date him, even if Will himself has feelings or wants that relationship. Also if anything, Will would wish that him or his friends hadn't been traumatized by the ud or something along those lines long before making it about Mike. and I think El would have a similar wish to the one I picture for Will too. Or maybe she'd wish the lab hadn't ever experimented like they did and solve all the issues at their root. Like Will, she's been shown to have a big heart and care immensely about her friends. S2 shows it, how she couldn't kill the man from the lab but urgently rushed to her friends when she realized they were in danger. Even her death in s5 was because she thought she was protecting people (this isnt romanticizing it, it was a shitty writing choice and she was misguided but her motivations do reflect her character) She's always, every single time, put others far above herself. They'd both have far better priorities than trying to make Mike fall in love with them even if they did think it wouldn't actually work, because they have experienced way bigger issues. I have other opinions on this too, but to keep this comment fairly short and related to just Stranger Things, I do believe Chrissy and Nancy are good picks for this on the other hand
