They've been running QE since last December at about $20-40 billion per month. This prevents short term yields from spiking, but not enough to inflate asset prices. The Fed had signaled it might end by May, and although it's now July, Warsh has signaled his desire to reduce the size of the balance sheet, so investors should be cautious that tightening is on the horizon.
