they should just add a refreshed design of every character before 3.0-4.0 and add an alternate skin with their original models , sorta like how amber , jean and mona have alternate skins that u get for free

what makes it worse for diluc is that they did kinda try to improve his model with his skin but even that was released too early to the point it makes almost no difference compared to the newer models 😭

they won't upgrade the old models but not because of legal reasons rather because they view it as too much effort that won't bring them anything in return that's why they prefer making skins than free upgrade of old character models

legally they can't do that, what they can do is release skins for older characters (which is what they've been doing lately with the free 4* skins) but it would be nice if they releasd updated skins which would be basically the same bit with visual updates (hair, eyes, face) like what they did when they had to censorship Mona, jean, amber and rosaria.

I’m not defending them, but if you were working on a project, why would you go back and change something that is no longer relevant to where you’re currently at. Would I love to see how they would look today, yes, but I also know that no company actively wants to loose money.

Obligation is crazy😭 they don’t and they won’t, first if they did update the character models they would be skins. Skins for 5* costs money and they wouldn’t make skins for characters who won’t bring in revenue. They’re a company not your best friend💀

They really don’t owe you anything, imagine if it takes them 100 or so hours to make a character model for a new release, they get that money back, but if they do it to like the 50 characters from before, 1. It’ll take SO much time and 2. They will never see any profit from that
