I was 16. Me and my baby gurl lived with my Papaw who was a Freewill Baptist preacher. Papaw was a sweet and kind man who everyone admired because his live for Jesus. Papaw took me and my daughter to church. There was a guest preacher who was a fire and brimstone kind of preacher. I knew I didn't want to go to hell. I believed, repented and confessed she as my Lord and Savior. Papaw baptized me in the river that summer. It was a lot about rule following. it wasn't until later I found out its about relationship with Jesus. Jesus changed my heart and has been faithful to continue working on me and drawing me into who God created me to be. I am so grateful for my Papaw taking me and teaching me. ❤️🙏🙏🙏

Yes mam, I was at church camp when I ask Jesus to come in my heart. I remember those flannel boards.

When I was 16, my younger brother took me to a church and said you have to hear this man. I listen to the man talk. At the end of it, I received Jesus. The joy filled me.

I remember the felt boards. The Bible stories came to life for me. I loved them. I would catch the church bus by myself and go. Can’t imagine that nowadays. 💔🙏

Teri, I has just gotten out of the Marine Corps. My marine buddy met me in Phoenix AZ. We moved to beautiful San Diego. That's where Jesus came upon me in such a beautiful way. I was working at the Naval Training Center. I was working security at the base commissary. One day, this friend of mine and I were locking up for the day... she said to me, Do you know that Jesus died on the cross for you? I remember looking over my shoulder to make sure no one was close by listening. When I saw that it was all clear I said to Mae, I know that! I'm a Roman Catholic! Well, that was like pouring gasoline on a fire. Mae continued... She asked me if I was willing to receive Jesus into my heart. I thought... My free ticket to Heaven. What do I have to lose. So we walked over to a little stone fountain with a stone bench where we sat. When Mae led me in a salvation prayer. I could feel this overwhelming presence. I thought... Is that coming from her? What's happening here? Jesus cleaned up my foul Marine Corps mouth. My life has never been the same since. Thank you Teri

Amen🙏. When I was about 8 years old when I received Christ as my Lord and Savior. I remember like it was yesterday. I went with my siblings to a vacation Bible school. It was at one of my favorite Sunday school teachers home. Her name was Mrs. Eveyln Joseph. She held it in her backyard. She truly loved the Lord. She had a little lesson and after she was done with her lesson. She asked us to bow our heads and she started Praying. Then she asked all of us that was there if anyone wanted to ask Jesus in our heart. I raised my hand and after her Prayer she lead me to the Lord. I thank God for Mrs. Joseph. I will never forget the love she had for the Lord and each one of us.💕

My story is long.I'll try to make it short. march of the year 2017. I cried out to God. I got fed up, with everything, and not knowing Him. I cried out to God, asked Him God, please help me to know You, help me to know Your ways, you know, I don't have anyone to teach me about you. please God help me to know You. and He came to me right away.I had an encounter with Jesus. i felt His Touch, i felt His Breath Him Breathing on me, and He gave me His Holy Spirit. that's the short version of when I got saved. but there's a long version of it, too. I am the only Born Again, Christian.In my family. please pray for my family to be save to receive Jesus Christ to serve Jesus Christ. thank you Teri for sharing your stories here. i really appreciate it. i share your stories what others I hope It ok with you.
