these political leaders are some kinda special. they cite massive numbers as if the company isnt doing any work or making money until this is done. i highly doubt the business just shut down for 20+ years, they just relocated and continued like they are going to do again when the building is done. they arent adding billions to the economy that wasnt already there

American Express stays because they were in too deep. Once they make the money back they gone, just like JP Morgan that moved the majority of their workforce to Texas. The AE will rent out the spaces to other smaller companies.
